Mexican pianist Mauricio Náder (1967) he began performing at the age of nine years old and has mantained an active career, performing at major venues of the American continent, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. He has appeared extensively in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Belize, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Panamá, Peru, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, China, Lebanon and Pakistan. He has also contributed towards the promotion of Mexican Music at venues such as the Jay Pritzker Pavilion/Millennium Park (Chicago), Inter-American Development Bank (Washington, DC), Spivey Hall (Atlanta), Americas Society (New York), The Prince of Asturias Foundation Series (Spain), National Center for the Performing Arts (Beijing, China), Oslo Konserthus (Oslo), Hotel National des Invalides (Paris), Centro Cultural de Belem (Lisboa), Teatro Municipal (Río de Janeiro), Art Institute of Chicago, Teatro Sánchez Aguilar (Guayaquil), and many others. 

His interpretative warmth, the power of his artistic personality and his ability to face an immense repertory ranging from the Baroque to the contemporary music have led him to become one of today’s Latinamerican musicians who most hold the attention of concert organizers. He debuted as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra (Mexico) at the age of nineteen years old. Since then, he is frequently invited by all of Mexico’s major orchestras, as well as by diverse orchestras from abroad. Some of his projects have included the “premier in Mexico” of George Crumb’s Makrokosmos (complete Books I and II) during the Festival Internacional Cervantino and the "premiere" in several countries of the Piano Concertos by Manuel M. Ponce and José Rolón.

  

He obtained the “First Prize” at the “Bartók-Kabalevsky” International Piano Competition (USA), the Piano Biennial (Mexico), the National Edvard Grieg Competition and the National Xalapa Competition, while he also received a “Most Distinguished” mention at the Ibla Grand Prize- World Music Competition (Italy) and diverse prizes and distinctions at the First National “Angélica Morales” Piano Competition (México), the Texas Music Teachers’ Association Competition, Tuesday Musical Club Young Artists Awards, Victoria Young Musicians’ Competition, Chopin Piano Competition of Texas and the International Audio and Video Tape Piano Competition, among others. He has also been a recipient of fellowships granted by the National Fund for Culture and the Art under the category “performers with an outstanding career”, by which he has had the opportunity to perform and promote various projects devoted to Mexican music and music for Prepared Piano and Extended Piano Techniques.

Mauricio Náder’s work can be appreciated in over thirty compact discs, which exemplify his natural ability to appear as a soloist, in chamber music and as a vocal accompanist. At present he performs through Axismundi Management and the Group of Concert Artsists (National Institute for the Fine Arts, Mexico). His photograph appears, along with some of the most relevant Mexican artists of the 20th century, on the commemorative stamp entitled “México del Siglo XX al Tercer Milenio/Arte” (Mexico in the Twentieth Century, at the turn of the Third Millennium/Art) issued by the Mexican Postal Service in 2000. Mr. Náder frequently offers masterclasses and serves as a juror at venues such as The Lang Lang-Telefonica International Competition, The Bartók-Kabalevsky International Piano Competition, the Bucaramanga International Piano Festival and Competition, the “Angelica Morales” National Piano Competition, Fiestas Iberoamericanas de las Artes (Puerto Rico) and many others. He served as Academic Piano Professor at the Mexican Center of Graduate Studies in Music and was a member of leading ensembles such as Ensamble 3, The Composer’s Forum, Ensamble Ónix and Ensamble Cello Alterno.

Some of his private students have received prizes at National and International piano competitions, while others have been accepted to continue their musical studies at institutions such as The Manhattan School of Music and the University of Houston (USA); the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatorium at Milan (Italy); the Superior School of Music of Santander; the Escorial Conservatorium (Spain) and the Rotterdam Conservatorium (The Nederlands).

Mr. Náder held musical studies at the National Music Conservatory (Mexico), the University of Houston (BM) and the Eastman School of Music (MM), where he was unanimously awarded the Performers’ Certificate. His teachers were Carlos Bueno, María Teresa Rodríguez, Nancy Weems and Anton Nel.

In addition to his career as a soloist, Mexican pianist Mauricio Náder also devotes a great amount of time to other activities in his native country and abroad: --He pursues Chamber Music projects. --Offers Private Lessons and Master Classes (piano and chamber music). --Appears as juror for piano/music competitions. --Performs recording projects (CDs, TV commercials, Films, Videos, etc.). --Writes music articles. Some of his private students have received prizes at National and International piano competitions, while others have been accepted to continue their musical studies at institutions such as The Manhattan School of Music and the University of Houston (USA); the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatorium at Milan (Italy); the Superior School of Music of Santander; the Escorial Conservatorium (Spain) and the Rotterdam Conservatorium (Hollanda). Mauricio Náder is a Founder, Academic Director and Piano professor at the Mexican Center of Graduate Studies in Music (Puebla, Mexico). Liekwise, Mr. Náder has offered a great number of masterclasses in Mexico, SouthAmerica and the United States, and he has been a juror for the Bartók-Kabalewsky International Piano Competition (USA) with late pianist Gyorgy Sándor and the Universidad Industrial Santander's National Piano Competition (Colombia), the "Angélica Morales" National Piano Competition (México) and the Manuel de Falla Piano Competition, among others. El pianista mexicano Mauricio Náder Schekaibán (1967), se inició en el concertismo a los nueve años de edad y ha mantenido una activa carrera que lo ha llevado a los escenarios de cuatro continentes. A partir de sus actuaciones en España dentro las Semanas de Música de la Fundación Príncipe de Asturias (1994), se presentó en diversos escenarios de México, Estados Unidos, Canadá, Alemania, Bulgaria, España, Francia, Italia, Noruega, Portugal, Belice, Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Perú, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, China, Líbano y Pakistán. En diversas ocasiones fue invitado a tocar ante mandatarios como el ex-Presidente Felipe Calderón, el Príncipe de Asturias y el ex-Presidente de Francia Nicolas Sarkozy. Ha tenido la oportunidad de difundir la Música Mexicana en escenarios como el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo/BID (Washington), Spivey Hall (Atlanta), Jay Pritzker Pavilion/Millennium Park (Chicago), Americas Society (Nueva York), Auditorio Nacional (Ciudad de México), Oslo Konserthus (Oslo), Hotel National des Invalides (París), Centro Cultural de Belem (Lisboa), Teatro Municipal (Río de Janeiro), Art Institute of Chicago, National Center for the Performing Arts (Beijing) y muchos recintos más.

A los diecinueve años de edad debutó en el Palacio de Bellas Artes como solista de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional y desde entonces es solista de todas las orquestas importantes de su país, así como de diversas orquestas de Europa, Medio Oriente, Centro y Sudamérica. Su calidez interpretativa, el poder de su personalidad artística y su capacidad de abordar un inmenso repertorio que abarca desde la música barroca hasta la contemporánea lo convierten en uno de los músicos latinoamericanos que más llaman la atención de los organizadores de conciertos de México y del extranjero. En su haber, se pueden destacar el "estreno en México" del Makrokosmos (Libros I y II) de George Crumb durante el XXXVII Festival Internacional Cervantino y el estreno en varios países de los Conciertos para piano y orquesta de Manuel M. Ponce y José Rolón.

En 1996 ganó el Primer Lugar en el Concurso Internacional de Piano "Bartók-Kabalevsky" y el mismo año recibió una Medalla Conmemorativa del Milenio de Austria. También le fue otorgado el Primer Lugar en la Bienal de Piano (México), el Texas Music Teachers' Association Competition, el Tuesday Musical Club Young Artists Awards, Concurso Nacional de Xalapa y Concurso Nacional Edvard Grieg, así como otros premios y reconocimientos en el Primer Concurso Nacional de Piano "Angélica Morales" (México), Ibla Grand Prize-World Music Competition (Italia), Victoria Young Musicians' Competition (EUA), International Chopin Piano Competition of Texas (EUA), International Audio and Video Tape Piano Competition (EUA) y Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition (EUA).

Ha sido becario del FONCA bajo la categoría de "intérpretes con trayectoria destacada" y actualmente forma parte del Grupo de Concertistas de Bellas Artes del INBA en calidad de “Concertino”, el nivel más alto que existe dentro de dicho grupo. Asimismo, es uno de los artistas mexicanos incluidos en el timbre conmemorativo "México del Siglo XX al Tercer Milenio/Arte" emitido por el Servicio Postal Mexicano en el año 2000 y fue integrante de agrupaciones como el Ensamble 3, el Composer's Forum, el Ensamble Ónix y el Ensamble Cello Alterno. Frecuentemente es invitado a ofrecer clases magistrales en varios países y ha sido invitado a fungir como juez del Concurso Internacional Lang Lang-Telefonica (2012), el Concurso de Piano de Bucaramanga (Colombia), el Concurso Internacional de piano Bartok-Kabalevsky (EUA), el Concurso Nacional de Piano "Angélica Morales" (México) y muchos otros; así mismo, también ha formado parte de la Comisión de Evaluación del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (FONCA) y del Consejo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes de varios Estados de la República Mexicana.

Su trabajo se puede apreciar en una treintena de discos compactos, de entre los que destacan "Apuntes para piano" (Música Mexicana de los siglos XX y XXI), "Mauricio Náder à Paris" (Música de las Américas), "Piano music" (obras de Darián Stávans) y "Recital" (Mozart, Schumann, De Falla y Ligeti), así como el Concierto para piano y orquesta de Héctor Quintanar al lado de la Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato bajo la dirección de Juan Trigos y Caminos de Piedra de Eddie Mora con la Orquesta Sinfónica de Heredia (Costa Rica) dirigidos por el mismo compositor. 

Mauricio Náder se formó musicalmente en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música, en la Escuela de Música de la Universidad de Houston y la Eastman School of Music, en donde obtuvo el grado de Maestría en Piano y fue premiado con el Performer's Certificate. Sus maestros fueron Carlos Bueno, María Teresa Rodríguez, Nancy Weems y Anton Nel.
